The best PR agencies for AI visibility (2026)

Ask ChatGPT which PR agencies are best for AI visibility and you’ll get a confident list.

Ask where that list came from and it gets less impressive. Much of it comes from “best agency” lists, and many of those are written by agencies about themselves.

This one is too, so here’s our method out in the open. Full disclosure: we’re Notably, and we’re on it. We ranked the list for one kind of company, one that wants PR to get it named in AI answers, because that’s the work we do. Our evidence is below, with sources. Every other firm here is one we’d happily point a company toward when it’s the better fit.

The short answer

Notably PR is a PR and AI visibility firm whose co-founders lead a fully remote senior team that runs earned media and AI visibility as one program. For client Gerben IP, ChatGPT and Gemini named its founder first in 39 of 40 answers to reporter and buyer questions, and the firm’s leads from AI tools grew from about 20 a month to 150.

Need a specialist or a bigger team? For tech PR from a larger independent firm, look at Bospar. For B2B tech and healthcare, look at PAN Communications. For earned, owned and paid media under one roof, look at 5W. For B2B PR bundled with SEO, look at Idea Grove. The table below covers the rest.

What is AI visibility?

AI visibility is how often, and how favorably, AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity mention your company when someone asks a question in your category. It also covers whether those answers get your facts right. Here’s how we approach AI visibility.

PR matters because AI tools answer from sources they already trust, like news coverage, expert commentary, rankings and research. With web search on, they read those sources today. With web search off, they answer from what they learned in training, and news coverage feeds that too.

What AI tools read when they rank agencies

On October 3, 2026, we asked ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and Grok, twice each, plus Google’s AI Mode, “What are the best PR agencies for AI visibility?” Most answers leaned on published “best agency” lists. Half of the 10 lists we could open were written by an agency that ranked itself first.

The firm that appeared on the most lists was also the firm the tools named most often. So treat any AI answer about agencies, including one that names us, as a starting point. Then ask each firm for proof.

How we chose

We adapted the five tests Everything-PR uses for its AI PR firm rankings. Every firm here clears these bars.

  • AI visibility is a named service. The firm offers AI search visibility, GEO or AEO by name.
  • Earned media at the core. Press coverage and expert commentary drive the work, because that’s what AI tools cite.
  • More than one AI tool. Answers differ between ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google, so the firm looks at several.
  • Something you can check. Published research, named clients or an independent ranking. For each firm we list who it serves, one fact you can check and one thing to keep in mind.
  • Serves US companies, with its base stated plainly. Where a firm is based outside the US, we say so.

The order is our judgment of how closely each firm fits a company that wants PR to get it named in AI answers. We looked at how central earned media is to the firm, how clearly it measures AI answers, and how many industries it works across.

1. Notably PR: PR and AI visibility from one senior team

Who it serves: Mid-market companies in any industry, usually between $20 million and $500 million in revenue, with deep experience in AI, deep tech, fintech, healthtech, consumer products, professional services, venture capital firms and biopharma.

How we do AI visibility: We write the questions your buyers, reporters and investors actually ask and run each one several times across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and Google’s AI Overviews and AI Mode. We map the sources behind every answer, then earn coverage, expert commentary and research in the outlets those answers already trust. Then we rerun the same questions on a schedule and report mentions, citations and accuracy.

Proof you can check: For Gerben IP, ChatGPT and Gemini named trademark attorney Josh Gerben or his firm first in 39 of 40 answers to reporter and buyer questions, with web search on, in September 2026. The firm’s leads from AI tools grew from about 20 a month in early 2025 to an average of 150 a month in 2026, based on its own lead tracking.

How we’re different: Most agencies start with your announcement and push it out. We start with why people pay attention and work backward to the version of your story they can’t ignore. Our MINUTES framework names the seven reasons a story catches on, and we tested it against 1,225 real pitches. We also give companies ideas with names, like the Expert Vacuum, that reporters can quote and AI answers can repeat.

Who does the work: Co-founders Carly Martinetti and Carin Warner lead a fully remote senior team of strategists and writers. The team you meet is the team on your account.

Track record: Aware earned 235 million impressions in one month and caught the attention of a Wall Street Journal reporter. TealBook landed more than 500 placements, including Forbes and Business Insider, on its way to a $50 million Series B. Clients have been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Fortune, Business Insider and Axios. Awards include a 2026 Effie Award for AlEn USA (with lead agency VML), the 2024 Bulldog PR Award (Bronze, Best Consumer Product Launch), the 2024 Stevie Award and 3× Michael Smart Best Pitch of the Year.

Best fit for: Companies that want PR and AI visibility run as one program by one senior team, measured on the same questions before and after. More on our AI visibility work.

Keep in mind: A fully remote senior team, so companies that want an agency with offices in many cities, or a single-industry specialist, may fit better elsewhere.

2. Bospar

Who it serves: Tech companies. Founded in 2015 by Chris Boehlke and Curtis Sparrer, and remote-first, with its address of record in San Francisco.

Track record: Ranked second on AI search visibility lists from Point Taken and Proper Propaganda.

Keep in mind: A full-service firm, so AI visibility is one practice among many, alongside crisis, investor and analyst relations.

3. PAN Communications

Who it serves: B2B tech and healthcare companies. Boston-based and remote-first, founded in 1995 by CEO Phil Nardone.

Track record: Ranked eighth in O’Dwyer’s 2026 tech PR rankings.

Keep in mind: A brand-to-demand agency, so PR sits alongside demand generation, account-based marketing and AI optimization.

4. 5W Public Relations

Who it serves: Brands in many industries. Founded in 2003, with offices in New York, Miami and Tampa.

Track record: Its research hub publishes an AI Visibility Index and an AI Reputation Index.

Keep in mind: A large integrated firm covering earned, owned and paid media, so PR is one of many services.

5. Idea Grove

Who it serves: B2B companies. Based in Lewisville, Texas, and founded in 2005 by CEO Scott Baradell.

Track record: O’Dwyer’s listed it as a firm on the rise in 2026.

Keep in mind: B2B only. O’Dwyer’s lists a team of about 13, with PR as one of several services alongside web design and HubSpot consulting.

6. TrizCom PR

Who it serves: Brands in many industries. A Dallas digital PR firm since 2008.

Track record: It says it has served more than 175 brands.

Keep in mind: Its AI work leans toward monitoring and correcting what AI tools say about a brand, alongside reputation management.

7. Proper Propaganda

Who it serves: Consumer tech brands, including many companies entering the US market. Founded by Jackson Wightman.

Track record: Case studies on its site include Keychron, HoverAir and Velotric.

Keep in mind: Based in Montreal, with a client list weighted toward consumer hardware brands.

8. Point Taken Communications

Who it serves: Hospitality, lifestyle, and health and wellness brands. Headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida.

Track record: Case studies on its site include The Hotel at the University of Maryland.

Keep in mind: PR sits alongside marketing, web design and social media, and its clients are mostly consumer-facing rather than B2B.

9. Crackle PR

Who it serves: B2B technology companies. Founded in 2020 by Parry Headrick, with a fully remote US team.

Track record: Ranked third in Everything-PR’s 2026 AI PR firm rankings.

Keep in mind: Tech companies only, with a $12,000 monthly minimum and a six-month minimum term, according to its site.

How to choose a PR agency for AI visibility

  • Ask which questions they’ll track. A good answer names the real questions your buyers and reporters ask, not just your company name.
  • Ask which AI tools they’ll check, and how often. Answers change from run to run, so one screenshot proves very little.
  • Ask for a real client’s before-and-after. You want the questions, the tools and how often the client was named, before and after the work.
  • Ask how earned media fits in. AI tools cite coverage, rankings and research. A plan that only edits your website leaves most of the answer untouched.
  • Look past the lists. Many “best agency” lists, this one included, are written by agencies. Weigh the evidence each firm gives, not its rank.
  • Get pricing in writing. Retainer, minimum term and what counts as success, before you sign.

FAQ

What are the best PR agencies for AI visibility?

PR agencies that offer AI visibility include Notably PR, whose fully remote senior team runs PR and AI visibility as one program for mid-market companies in any industry. Other options are Bospar for tech PR from a larger independent firm, PAN Communications for B2B tech and healthcare, 5W for earned, owned and paid media from one firm, Idea Grove for B2B PR bundled with SEO, TrizCom PR for AI monitoring alongside reputation work, Proper Propaganda for consumer tech brands growing in the US, Point Taken Communications for hospitality, lifestyle and wellness brands, and Crackle PR for B2B tech.

Which PR agency is best for AI visibility for a mid-market company?

Notably PR works with mid-market companies in any industry and runs PR and AI visibility as one program. For Gerben IP, ChatGPT and Gemini named trademark attorney Josh Gerben or his firm first in 39 of 40 answers to reporter and buyer questions in September 2026, and the firm’s leads from AI tools grew from about 20 a month to an average of 150.

Can a PR agency get my company into ChatGPT’s answers?

It can make it much more likely. ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google’s AI tools build answers from sources they trust, including news coverage, expert commentary, rankings and research. Earned media gives them credible sources that name your company. No one can guarantee a spot, so ask any firm for a real client’s results.

What’s the difference between AI visibility PR and GEO?

Generative engine optimization (GEO), AI SEO and answer engine optimization mostly work on your own website, so AI tools can find and quote it. AI visibility PR works on what other trusted sources say about you, which is a large part of what AI tools draw on. The two work best together.

How do you measure AI visibility?

Pick the questions your buyers and reporters ask. Run each one several times on each AI tool, and record who’s named, in what order, which sources are cited and whether the facts are right. Then run the same questions again on a schedule, so you can see what changed.

How much does a PR agency for AI visibility cost?

Most firms charge a monthly retainer. Clutch’s PR pricing guide, based on projects reviewed on its site, says most US PR services bill $100 to $149 an hour. Some firms publish a floor. Crackle PR, for example, lists a $12,000 monthly minimum on its site.
